When Fall Arrives

The Lowell Cemetery will be having its  "Fall Foliage Tour".

Every autumn, nature puts on a brilliant show of color.  From bright yellows to vibrant reds, the leaves transform, showing their rich and vibrant hues.  From the northeast to the southeast and the midwest, the foliage season begins in early September in the northern regions and ends in southern locations in late October or early November.  Every year people flock to these areas to take in the fall foliage, to catch a glimpse of nature's splendor.
If  you're in the Lowell area, you need not travel very far.  The Lowell Cemetery has a wide variety of historical trees that produce the most striking and vibrant colors.  This is attributed to mild autumn days coupled with cool, crisp, but not freezing evenings.  During September and October, the once green leaves of spring and summer alter their appearance.  Each species of tree and shrub has its own unique hues which can vary from year to year.
